Why does the Herculees gain knob reset itself to zero? For example, if I play a song and zero is at 12:00 where it should and I boost the gain to 3:00 and then load another song on that deck, the knob will remain at 3:00 but the gain will read at zero. I have the same issue with bass, mid, and treble knobs. Everytime I load a song I have to adjust all four knobs. Makes playing a playlist very tricky.

Disable the 'Reset' feature in your config / options.

Im in config/options and my eq reset is disabled. The comp. I am currently on is not the one I use for gigs though. Maybe it is enabled on that comp. Thanks for the fast response. But while you are here and I see you are a controller expert, another question...Is the American Audio VMS4 worth trading my Hercules RMX for? For me to get rid of the RMX (which works very well for me) and pay the extra money the VMS4 would really have to blow me away with features not found in what I already have.

Not shure because in Germany the Device is not released here. There are different threads in the english forum - try to find some infos there.

I thought I'd address this issue again. I am having the identical problem with my gain resetting to "12:00" on each new song load. I would prefer if this did not happen. I'd like it if the software gain knobs reflected where the hardware gain knobs are on my Hercules RMX.
Thoughts?

Been dealing with that issue since I purchased mine. I think it has something to do with the last time the track was played. For example, if the track was played previously and you had to add gain to it, its like the RMX will play it at that volume and force you to adjust it. It can be quite a pain. What I found helpful is to run all of my tracks through MP3 Gain, so that the volume levels are the same, and I try to adjust the gain while pre-listening, scary, when you move that crossfader and that next track is loud as ish!

lads did you try the auto&remember function in you options section...

>Go into "options"
>set "auto gain" to disabled
>set "EQ reset on load" to disabled
That should fix your problems, but keep in mind that your track levels will not be "remembered' in the software for future plays.
