I'm using the latest version of VDJ (6.1.1) I've been DJing for 10+ years and know how to mix so I disabled Auto-pitchmatching, Dis-engage beathmatch is set to > OnLoad I've disabled pretty much everything else but its STILL trying to Auto sync and its $&^#ing up my mixes!
I know how to mix I don't need help!
Basically I have a song playing (ex you can do it - 100 BPM)
I load another song to play (ex be faithful - 101 bpm)
I set a cue point at the "1" beat of be faithful, press play at the appropriate time (1 beat of a bar) and it either skips to the "2" beat of be faithful or delays it
Its driving me insane! someone pls help me! I need to turn off this sync function!
Thanks!

What are you using to "press play" with? keyboard? controller?

...and do you smart play or smart cue enabled?

If you mean Auto-cue then yes its disabled..
Put it this way, in the options menu I disabled EVERYTHING that could be.
I'm pressing play with the BCD3000 (yeah I know, its only a temporary solution until I can afford my tables and 57)
But it also does it when I press play with the mouse (without the BCD being connected)
This issue is driving me nuts :( any help would be extremely appreciated

no, Smart-cue and smart-play are different. The switches to turn them on or off are shown on the standard skin.
also open your mappers and post here what your play buttons are mapped too.

Sorry dude but I can't find any mention of 'smart-play' anywhere in the program.. even with the default skin.. I'm using VDJ Pro 6
Its still automatically 'skipping ahead' or 'delaying behind' to attempt to auto-sync even though its off, what I've been doing so far is starting the mix, pitch-bending to compensate until its on and then fast mixing.. which really doesn't sound great but its about all I can do at this point :/

If you go to the Pro skin, and look above the play button, you'll see a small padlock. That's the smart play button. Disabling this should solve the problem. It caught me out when I first started using Virtual DJ. It also appears on the video skin on the bottom toggle switch of the left and right player window

more likely scenario is we just have a bit of a bump of newer users who are noticing this..
I went thru the exact same thing myself.. I'm trying to remember?, maybe in version 5.x the smartcue thing was more noticeable?? (IE: why is it doing that?? OH.. thats why... LOL)
not as noticeable now in 6.x?? (knowing that you accidently turned it on) Also if a new user chooses a different skin then the default, they might never even notice it right away.. (I know its their and have had trouble finding it on some skins)
Long story short.. I dont think its a bug or anything, more likely with all the new mappers verbs and options its just not as obvious to catch the oops.
