Hi all,
Firstly my hardware setup is:
MacBook Pro
Hercules DJ Console RMX
Trial Version of Virtual DJ 6.1
Genelec 8030 Monitors
I can mix perfectly well until I want to monitor/PFL through the headphones.
Correct me if i'm wrong but the only way I could do this is to setup in VDJ to 2 sound cards and select my MOTU as the main output and RMX for the headphone outputs right? Well when I do this, I get an awful distortion with everything I play and when playback is stopped all I hear is a horrible clicking/buzzing sound.
Basically, does anyone have experiences with this sound card? And does anyone know the correct settings to monitor through headphones with this kind of setup? I'm pulling my hair out here!
Thanks

Keep things simple. Better to use one soundcard only in your setup (in tis case the MOTU) and keep the Rmx as a controller.
The MOTU is a soundcard with many possible configuration options which you should look into.
What I can tell you (just by looking at their web site) is that you should be able to map (from within the MOTU configuration panel) the second headphone output (PHONES) to any stereo pairs of the card. In this case, it should be Output 3/4.
Once this is done, then you'll need to configure audio menu VDJ consequently:
- Input : None
- Output(s): Headphone > Master Chan1/2 / headphone Chan3/4
-Soundcard: MOTU (or however it is identified)
