Good Evening folks, Story 1st - pictures below.
Equipment - Dell XPS420 which (up until now) has been 100% reliable.
Whilst doing gigs my video started playing up for no aparent reason and to reset i click on the main out monitor in vdj to black out main screen click again to reset and activate again. Up to this point my system has been 100% reliable but this one particular night I clicked in the main screen out (as if to black out and try to reset). It continued to mess around and then all of a sudden, what was playing jumped onto my monitor screen whilst parts of vdj remained and the main screen (the one that the clients see) went black. see pics below as its hard to describe. I couldn't click on or close anything which is not good. I needed to do a shutdown/restart.
I thought that was the end of my graphics cards life (Ati 528mb) and replaced it with a nvidea 240gt 1gb.
It is still messing about (randomly freezing videos ) but haven't had this happen since?
As my system was playing 100% before inc slideshows, transitions, cam, etc etc, I'm wondering if anyone has any do's, don'ts or suggestions to try. As i said, Ive replaced graphics card and Im just about to completely reinstall windows and then vdj in case ive corrupted windows somehow?

Oh well, I feel a little bit alone but very pleased for all of my fellow DJ's :D
