What should I do as I want to be able to use for example numbers 1 to 9 for effects and how do I go about typing it in so that each number produces a different effect ie number 1 for backspin, 2 for echo please.

if you check the wiki on the forum you can find scripts for what you need to do. or you can just hit learn and hit the button your buttons you want to use then start typing in the window for the script and it will come up as you type.
