After returning the DDM4000 as the stupid thing wouldn't work after i got it out the box, i'm looking for a 2 channel mixer.
I'm leaning to scratch, so a sharp cross fade would be a bonus. I'd like it to have all the EQ's and i mix hip hop and R&B stuff.
If possible, i'd like it to have some sort of effects on it + could possibly be used as a midi (though, not essential)
I've got a budget of around £250.
Thanks

not sure on the USD ex-change rate but that doesn't seem like a whole lot of $$ for what your asking for. ANY decent professional mixer/midi controller is gonna be $500 + i would suggest save up a bit more to increase your budget so you don't end up making a similar purchase as with the DDM4000.

SO why not get another DDM4000, I have owned 3 of them and I never had the problem you described. You were just unlucky and got a bad one that couldn't enter the system setup menu. You will not be able to find much more options at that price.

Barhanger have a bad name as it is, i was holding my breath when i bought it.
If its got a bad rep and it goes wrong with in 10 minutes, you know the rest of their products are crap.
I have decided not to go Midi base any more, it costs far too much money and theres not wide enough market.
I like the Stanton M.207 due to the fact it is tight and has Pan :D, how cool.
On the otherhand, kill switches near the crossfader would be a advantage too.
No longer interested in Midi
Thanks

Not too fussed if it has effects either. A simple, quality mixer.
Have been suggested Nuo 2.0 ? Quality, long lasting?

i have been looking at the Numark X6, i have the M2 now and i think it is decent. The X6 has kill switches on the bottom part of the mixer.

I'm with the others. I would try for another DDM 4000. I, like you, had my reservations about Behringer period, as the mixer I was replacing was a Behringer DJX700 (UGH!!!!!)...I am in LOVE with my DDM. It still has some limitations when it comes to the big budget, industry standards that the DDM must face. But I figured that a MIDI mixer with XLR outs, customizable output solutions, including XLR out with sub, and the myriad of customization options available before you even get to the VDJ MIDI options, I could live with what it CAN'T do, and not worry about what others are going and the equipment they were doing it on.

1) I don't need such a huge mixer
2) I dont need 4 channels any more, i'm getting rid of the RMX
3) Seriously, who needs effects when they can mix flawlessly ;)
4) I'd rather mix like DJ AM for example, a sharp mixer is required.
