Sujet: NUMARK MIXDECK Questions:

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

A few question one of my dj's was asking that I have no answers to:

1. Will the MixDeck control the internal VDJ X fader like my Denon X-500 does?

2. Can you play a cd on one deck while simultaneously using it with the software on the other deck?

3. If any of you are using this unit, how do you like it?

I'm looking at buying something for a new bar gig for one of my guys who still likes to use cd's (yes I'm in the process of converting him to strictly computer lol).

I may just give him my Denon rig to use & get the new Denon controller for myself, or the Mixdeck is a possiblility for him if I hear good things back.

Thanks gang.

How do you get you DN-X500 to control anything on the VDJ software? Its not a midi device...

With the DN-HC4500 you can use the X-500 to control VDJ's internal X-over. Awesome feature & works great.

I have the 500 and the 4500 and the are an awesome combination and control everything well. I am looking for something a little more compact as a second setup and I am considering the mixdeck. No, you can not control the cross fader in Virtual DJ with the mixdeck. The mixer section is not midi but the players are. Yes you can play a cd on one side and computer on the other just like the 4500. I used the mixdeck for about a month at a club I was working and I really like it and I DJ everything from private events to beat mixing in the clubs.

I just purchased Virtual DJ and love it! I own the Numark mixdeck and everything seems to be working fine except the jog wheels will not work. I changed the settings on the mixdeck to vinly and still nothing. Can someone help me make the jog wheels scratch? Help!!

Register your Virtual DJ software, and download the new version.

have you found that the internal sound plays up when you change sources, I'm looking at buying a mixdeck but worried that if I change sources it may cause the sound output from my laptop or the midi control to stop functioning? I have had issues with the HD2500 where if the venue manager (as an example) at the pub where I play regularly turns me off instead of the lights at the end of the night I have to restart vdj all over again in order to get it working again (thank god for iphones)

I have the numark mixdeck with the ipod in the middle and I'm using virtual dj pro software. my question is when i'm mixing and i upload a new song to one of the turn tables the sound goes down. why is that. I want to be able to mix without the sound changing. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried changing the crossfader curve to scratch?

i use the mixdeck with vitual dj 7.4.1 , and to answer your question it works very well , you can p[lay a cd while using the software
2 . because the mixer on the mixdeck is not digital , when you use the cross fader on the unit there is no reaction on the software , but if you are playing videos and you activate the audio link then when you stop playing one video it will sarting showing the other one.
3 the unit is very versitile , right now i also at times use it with scratch live and that too works well.
4. for the price i would recommend it for sure ..

so the xfader on the software doesn't move? so how do you transition?

It has an external mixer, there's no need for the software crossfader to move and if you like watching the screen for the crossfader to move then get the Mixdeck Quad which is just as every bit as versitle as the original Mixdeck is plus more!!

Non i haven't tried that, I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice. Switch the crossfader to scratch.

Thats because the Sound Setup of VirtualDJ is not set properly. Please read this .. http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MixDeck.html

The question, how do you fade from 1 -> 2? The software crossfader stays in the middle. You mix with the Mixdeck mixer and use the decks to control the VDJ decks for looping, pitch bend, play, pause, hot cues etc. Press play on deck 2 & fade over to deck 2. Super simple.
It does work well with VDJ. I've changed in the middle of a show to play a CD & even a jump drive, then change 'source' back to MIDI when done and it goes right back to VDJ. For best results, set both decks to MIDI, then open the VDJ program. They will sync together and the display on the Mixdeck will look correct.
