So I heard that the revamping the sound engine in version 7 like adding a new advance master tempo algorithm and a whole new sound engine mode called pure scratch. I'm guessing pure scratch is gonna be for turntablists to get the most real sounding scratch but does that mean it consumes the most resources? And last and prob my biggest question with the revamped sound engine is it geared to use less cpu or is it going to use more now I wonder. So if anyone knows anything about this or played around with at BPM care to give some insight on how it sounds and stuff. Think thats pretty cool there re doing the sound engine.

99 decks sounds like a great number, but how do you get them ALL at once??
It sounds like a contest in the making for the skin designers to see how many decks we can fit onscreen at once..
I myself have a few sketches im keeping close..
If we do have a brand new audio engine, i do hope we dont have the same left over sound snippet as with the v6 in advanced master tempo mode :(

Just because 99 decks are available, doesn't mean you have to have 99. It's not a contest ;)

Tayla is buying a forklift to carry all those decks

I use the DMC2 controller and for what I do(mobile), its great, will I need another controller to use 4 decks or will there be a "switch" between decks 1+2 And 3+4??? Thanks

Haha this discussion was supposed to be about the improvements being made to the sound system because as of right now there still a little bugs with the advanced timestretch engine and the scratch engine hiccups here and there so theres room for improvement. So the re vamped sound engine excites me the most. But if 99 decks are where its at thats cool also haha.

So in Traktor 4 decks can be controlled by 2 Denon HC-4500's when one set to midi channel 1&2 and other to 3&4. Is it possible to use, for example, 2 Hercules MK4's for VDJ?

Re the 99 decks thing - it would be cool if VDJ7 supported multiple monitors so the decks, mixer, video display etc. could be spread out and arranged onto whichever screens suit the user.
So you could have one screen with just a record case, and another full of decks for example.

I reckon you can already do that with the right skin, although I'll admit I've not tested it with video output too.

I just noticed on the Hercules website that the 4-MX offers support for 4 deck mixing...
http://www.hercules.com/us/DJ-Music/bdd/p/141/dj-console-4-mx/
This is on that page:
2-deck & 4-deck control
2 shift buttons to turn deck A into deck C, and deck B into deck D
- 2-deck for standard DJ mixes, when mixing 2 audio tracks
- 4-deck mixing: double the controls when you mix 4 tracks

Should be easy too do cause you can already control both decks using 1 timecode. So I assume you'd just just set it up some what the same way. Hope to see it released soon.
