guys this is always one thing that has brothered me how can you keep your wires such as dmx cables etc????? i have tried wrapping them in around a coil worked but took too much time!!! tried to wrap them like rope and that just broke the inside of the wires.. doea any1 have a cool little way of keeping them stored so that they are quick and easy to use???

Coil into a loop and secure with velcro strap.

A single loose hitch should not do to much harm, but I agree Valco is the ultimate solution.
Quality insulation tape can work, fold over end to make a "release" tab.
Cables should be French coiled.

Velcro cable ties, best investment ever. If you have lots a cables get some coloured pvc tape and colour code all your cables at the ends or use a small label printer.

i agree with velcro straps, it keeps mine linked when set up for my mobile gigs, and when im done each used cable/wire has a strap on it to keep toghetgher at the end.

If you want all your cables to work properly on your next gig, then take the time to pack up properly.
they wont last if you just scrunch everything into a plastic bag :(
