After downloading and installing VDJ Pro 7, I'm experiencing some odd behaviour with my dual NDX 800 setup.
To set the scene, I am using Virtual DJ Pro 7, a 2 deck skin, Dual NDX 800's, Behringer DDM4000 Mixer, external mixer sound config.
1) I navigate the folders, then files using the left NDX 800 (assigned to deck 1) and load a track into deck one (in VDJ).
2) I navigate the folders, then files using the right NDX 800 (assigned to deck 2) and load a track into deck two (in VDJ).
3) I press the PLAY button on the left NDX 800 (assigned to deck 1 in VDJ) and it starts playing.
Now this is where the problem manifests itself.
The Beat_Ring is flashing on the left NDX 800 (deck 1) but no buttons are responsive on the unit. Meanwhile, the LED's, LCD info and buttons and sliders, etc on the right hand NDX 800 will control deck 1 .
If I press PLAY on the right hand NDX 800 (regardless of whether deck 1 is playing or not), I get the reverse of the above. i.e the right hand NDX 800 will start playing deck 2, but I then have to use the left hand NDX 800 to control deck 2.
One particular example that highlighted the problem was that if I selected scratch mode on the left hand NDX 800, I had to use the Search button on the right hand NDX 800 to deselect scratch mode on the left hand NDX 800.
It would appear that VDJ Pro 7 is treating both NDX 800's as one unit, rather than two.
I have pressed the Eject button to swap the decks and reload the mapping, reset the mapping to default, etc. to no avail.
If I revert back to 6.1.2 Pro (b301), both NDX 800's respond correctly.
Whilst it would be nice to get this resolved, I won't be using V7 for a while yet anyway, as I'll be soak testing it for at least a month or two before I use it live.
Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to the Mappers tab and click on the button to the right of the controller drop-down, what does it list for the Deck Assignments of the NDX-800 ?

Checking in both V6 (backup) and V7 I have no files of any type in the Devices directory.
I have in both versions (V6(backup) & V7) Mapper directories, XML mapping definitions files for the NDX 800. Doing a comparison, they are identical.

No...I have spoken at length with a team member, via emails in October, but since the 16/10/2010 I've heard nothing.
I have reverted back to Version 6.1.2 for my NDX800 setup.

How can i get my NDX800's to work? Is it by getting pro version 6.1.2? How do i get that?

I had the same problem but the only thing I did was a copy and paste of the mapper in the mappers folder. Then I looked for each device. Your NDXs show display 1 or 2 (normally were it displays the track No.) I also updated the firmware to 028.

Please don't bump an old post from 2010.
The Numark NDX-800 is natively supported in the latest VirtualDJ Professional. No mapper is required.
The limited DJ Console Edition of the software that you currently have does not support using custom mappers or any other controller except the Hercules DJ Console RMX. To use custom mappings, the NDX-800 or any other MIDI controllers, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional. Please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Your RMX DJ Console entitles you to a significant discount.
