Sujet: VDJ7 & Automixing

I was playing with 7 and so far everything is great, but i've come across something maybe I've missed in the past or have just never needed to know.

When I have 2 Decks playing (say deck 1 and 4) at a time and i want to start an automix of my playlist (say 4). The program starts the automix on Deck 1. Is there a way to tell it what deck i want the automix to start on. The only way i can figure out how to get it to start on 4 at that point is to stop deck 1 and then hit automix while deck 4 is playing then start deck 1 again. I just chose these decks as an example as it could be any combination.

it starts on the ACTIVE deck :)

in your 4 deck skin, each deck as a number in a round button. :) click 1-2-3 or 4 to set ACTIVE deck.
Automix will start on the active deck selected

 
except it doesn't work that way. i just tried loading a song in deck 1, 2 and 4 and then automix the deck. I played them in numerical order. 1 then 2 then 4 and 4 was highlighted as my active deck but it automixed on deck 1. I stop deck 1 and leave deck 2 and 4 running and it then automixes on 2 - with 4 still being my active deck. It seems to always default to the deck that started playing first. I would love it if it actually functioned the way you said it does - on the active deck.

He's right. Just tested this and Automix loads on the MASTERDECK not the ACTIVE deck.

If you need to know what deck Automix will load on you will need to use a skin that displays the MASTERDECK. As far as i can tell the 4 deck skin doesn't do this. It is however available on the six-deck skin - its the "M" in the minidecks.
 
Is there a keyboard shortcut i can create or something I can modify in the skin to give me a button to select which deck is the master deck? I have limited skin making abilities, but i think i could get my way through it. having the master deck tied to the active deck would be a nice thing to have.

I also noticed this. Was about to post about it. Glad it has been brought up already.
 
Likewise spotted this while playing earlier. Hey-ho, a minor niggle, there's always something after a major release that causes a X.01 version to get released within a couple of weeks!
 
just click master on the deck you want ....

i just tried it and it worked i mixed from 1 to 2 , then clicked master on 2 then clicked auto and it started auto

on the 2 deck .....

4 decks 1280 x 768

to change it to 4 , i clicked master on 4 then click auto on and off , reassigns it to 4 apparently, and then it auto

mixed next track to 4
