do you have two DENON 5500 connected?
In mapper settings, at the button next to the drop down, make sure what deck you assign each denon to.
LEFT AND RIGHT if you want to control all 4 decks, or deck 1 and deck 2 .. if thats your preference
It should behave normally and same on both decks

Hello, the Problem comes from the 5500 Firmware and the discontinued Support from Denon / HS5500. This is what Denon says and Atomix (i also had many problems with newer Versions)!
You havo to deactivate the Vinyl Mode, otherwise no Chance :(
Cheers

I too am having exact same problem with using 2 Denon HS5500. Deck 2 speeds up tremendously...warbles sounds everywhere. When it comes to Virtual DJ 7 the denon HS5500s are turning into very expensive Paper Weights. I hope denon reconsiders and fixes the firmware. To abandon so many HS5500 owners seems really unfair..these units were expensive and cutting edge!

Ok go to skins and then pick 4 decks then go to mapper settings and there should be two 5500s there. Then choose left and right for the 1st denon and 2nd and 3rd for the 2nd denon. After that go back to skins and choose 2 decks thats how I got them to work. This only works two decks. I hope this will help you but if there is a better way of doing this please tell us. PS is there a way to only choose 1 and not 1&2 for the 1st denon and 2 and not 2&3 on the 2nd denon. I would like to see 1&3 for 1st denon and 2&4 on the 2nd denon so I could use all 4 deck and be able to scratch.

I dont own them but I use my turntables in the same fashion, you should be able to do that in the advanced config menu. Thats what I did.

This warbling sound, playing too fast and VDJ wheel jumping forward when the deck is stopped is NOT related to the Denon firmware.
I've just been testing everything to try and help someone who's struggling to set up two 5500s with VDJ and I've discovered that the platters work as they should in VDJ version 6.0.4
In VDJ 7 and 7.0.2 they display the above symptoms - so it's VDJ that's causing it.
I haven't tried every single release between 6.0.4 and 7 so I can't say when it broke, but it definitely is broken in VDJ.

Any chance of a VDJ developer or support bod confirming that they know about this problem and are planning a fix?
Using 6.0.4 is ok, but why have a pair of dual layer decks if I can't use all four.......... I really need the HS5500 to work with VDJ7
