Sujet: Can't un-nest virtual folders...

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Just a little issue, but I've just been through tidying up my HUUUUGE long list of virtual and filter folders.

I put motown and rock n roll virtual folders nested into my "60s" virtual folder, but now I've changed my mind and I'd like them separate them back out again. Unfortunately I can't do that! I can only move to nest them into other folders instead.

I guess it's fairly simple to work around by making a new virtual folder and copying the contents over- but since the new vdj v7 is all about making things logical and smooth, it's something you might want to look at.

To move a folder out you just drag it to the bottom. To move to a different folder drag it ontop of the other folder's graphic.

Ah, okay, thanks. Even after I nested a load I still had quite a long list so moving the folder to the bottom didn't occur to me.

I think having the same system for when you just move folders (goes underneath when you hover near and gets nested when you hover on the file icon) would be more intuitive.

But thanks, that's definitely easier than the workaround I thought of! :)

I just switched to VDJ 7 and somehow have one of my virtual folders inside of another virtual folder? i cant seem to drag it out and there is no command that i can find besides delete ( which is not an option ) to move it back to where i want it.

Hi,

Just drag it right to the bottom of the list and it should 'pop out' !

Just make sure your mouse isn't over the folder icon when you let the folder go.
