I had a LOT of problems with this new version, and decided to make a thread about how to FIX stuff rather than complain about it. So if you had a big problem ONLY WITH THE NEW VERSION then fixed it, post it here. You may help someone. :P
This may help some of you who use external midi controllers. Or at least who use the BCD 3000.
THIS IS THE EXPLANATION OF WHAT HAPPENED! IF YOU DON'T CARE, SKIP THIS! (aka TL;DR)
--------------------------------------------------------
I was having a VERY annoying problem where while I was setting up the Advanced config. I set it exactly how I normally do. Master to the sound card that is connected to my speakers, then Headphones to my BCD3000 sound card (Selection just says "BCD 3000").
My speakers were acting very strange. Kinda like they were set to Headphones, but not. I would set Headphones to Cue (you know how you can move the slider between Cue and Mix) and moved the crossfader to the other deck that's not playing. (By the way, my crossfader is set to Full.) My Master speakers would only lower the volume of the deck that was playing instead of completely getting rid of the audio. I move the slider to Mix, and it worked fine. They when I put my headphones into my BCD 3000, nothing came out.
-------------------------------------------------------
Took me awhile, but I finally figured it out. In order to get my BCD 3000 to work as Headphones (aka preview, or Cue), then you need to set the Master with the sound card that you use for your speakers (as you normally would), and then set a Headphone selection as ASIO4ALL.
This SOMEHOW fixed the issue I was having with my main speakers. So now everything is working fine! I really hope this helps someone. XD;
Problem I'm currently working on: (If I figure it out, I will make a new post in this thread.)
1: Getting a desktop microphone to work with Broadcast and Record. They took the option to set it to Master + MIC away, and it doesn't work the way it should through Advanced config.

Use RECORD LOOPBACK in advanced sound settings for mic or line in, to broadcast it :)

Yeah that does not work right. The sound is terrible.

No idea, but the sound is HORRIBAD (it's a word...shut up). If you need proof, I would be happy to record it and post it here.

I had a similar problem with my BCD2000.
My setup is :
Master - Internal laptop souncard
Headphones - BCD2000
Line in - BCD2000 input B
I would set it up using the advanced config and sometimes it would work, but most times, I would get one of two problems. Either NO audio out out of the BCD2000 headphones, or I would get the Headphone audio bleeding into the laptop (master) audio.
I played around with all different combinations of settings until I came up with a combination that worked reliably.
In the Windows sound configuration, I set the Laptops audio card as the primary source, and then went into the settings for the BCD2000 and turned on a checkbox that says someting about "Not using this device for windows unless specifically addressed" This keeps windows from trying to default to the BCD2000 when it detects the device.
Then in the VDJ7 advanced configuration, I set Headphones to BCD2000, Input 1 to BCD2000, and Master to "primary sound driver".
I've had better results staying away from ASIO.
So far, it is working well.

Here's a copy of my post regarding memory issues that I and a few others seem to be having with VDJ7 and videos. This is how I resolved my issues...
"OK, I fixed my video memory issue...
I rolled back my catalyst center drivers to the original drivers for my notebook from the gateway website. I manually edited the registry for the max video memory setting to 512 and it appears to be stable and running smoothly. Each video loaded into memory appears to only use about 300mb of physical memory
I tested this by setting up a video waitlist on player b while playing videos on player a, effectively loading 3 video into memory at once and the highest my memory usage went was 910mb, a far cry better than the 3.7gb on one video prior to the driver roll back.
I can only conjecture that the newest incarnation of CCC (10.10) isn't playing nice with Virtual DJ 6.1.2 or 7.0
Hopefully this is something that can be "ironed out" as I'm sure that AMD isn't going to re-write their driver package because our DJ program doesn't work well with it ;)

Its built into the browser now. Look at the bottom and you should see a "PLAY/PAUSE" icon. Highlight your track and press play.........boom your preveiwing your track. If you dont see it click on the EYE and select it.

Yes, it seems the 2 deck mapping for the dn-s1200 has been changed somewhat. I have the same setup and tried to use the denon's as i have done with no problems in the previous versions to no avail. Seems like Vdj is treating the decks as one controller and not separate controllers.
Any ideas? (and i followed the guide for using the denons from this website and i use a separate sound card, the decks are just midi controllers so the denon drivers are not needed)
