I downloaded and installed VDJ 7 on my laptop. It's an HP with a Duo Core 2 processor, 4 gigs of RAM, and windows 7 Ultimate and a DP2 controller. I was doing a Mitzvah on Sat night and I was about 45 minutes into my set when I was playing the fatboys remix of the twist and I think I was searching for a song or cueing something up on the other deck when the music just stopped. I had to use my other program to finish the night off.
The wierd thing is that there is no crash report or even playlist from using VDJ7 at all. Can someone advise. If I am going to use a program, I can't have it crash in the middle of a gig.
Any thoughts?

I was doing a gig on Saturday with VDJ Pro 7 and playing with the 4 decks for karaoke song was playing on deck two and i was searching for a song when the song playing just stoped but the program did not crash just stoped the song and so i loaded another song from deck 3 but the guy who was singing was cut off due to the song stoping in the middle of his singing when i was searching.
Don't know why this happen but it did happen again later in the night.

i have had no issues with vdj7, with toshiba duo core 4g, and an HP duo core 4g. i am trying to setup the 4 decks to run on 4 channels of my x500 denon mixer. i am using the Gigaport HD 8 channel sound card, so far i have only been able to get 6 of the 8 channels to work, but i will figure it out. Its cool to have all four decks on its own channel on my mixer. i have deck 1 on channel 1 and deck 2 on channel 2 and deck 3 on channel 3 but when i play deck 4 it plays on channel one of the sound card and channel 1 of the mixer, so i have to find out why the gigaport is not sending signal out through channels 7 & 8 or why vdj is not sending signall in to channels 7 & 8. I have gone into the Gigaport control pannel and set it to 8 channel, so i have to figure out what the issue is.

Well my solution was to set up the HC4500 on channels 1 & 2 on the x500 denon mixer and the Gigaport HD on channels 3 & 4, which gives me the ability to use the for Decks as individual channels on the mixer. i will post back when i get the Gigaport to output in 8 channel mode. For some reason during the driver download for the Gigaport when it gets to the part about connecting device to complete driver install the software can not locate the divice, and the driver downlaod does not complete. However the Gigaport does work and i am able to use it so i know the drivers are installed. i will continue to figure this out but at least i know i can get the 4 decks working on 4 channels individually which is what i was looking for.

DJ Matty and Mixit: I have the same problem for some months now and it's driving me crazy. I use the ESI Gigaport HD with dedicated Asio drivers on two diffrent lappies; one with Vista and one with W7-64. The windows 7 machine looses the soundcard completely in the middle of a song, while you can see the decks running.... The Vista machine causes in that case a very loud buzz sound. Tried the ESI U46DJ also with the same problems. It occors so now and than, sometimes it runs perfectly for hours and than suddenly "poof"....
This week finally contacted the helpdesk of VDJ, trying to tune both of the computers and choosing different drivers, even Asio4All... without a good a result for now. As a final solution I have downgraded to VDJ 6 again, which worked flawless on both setups. I will keep my eye on this thread...

yea, I had a gig last night where the program froze on me twice during the night. I shut down vdj and restarted it and it was fine, but there is no crash report for me either. It sucked because I use the program for hours a day but once I went to the gig it started having problems lol
