Sujet: Default - Auto remember of cue points?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Sorry Folks,

This one has probably be answered a thousand times already, but im new to VDJ and still learning the ropes.

If i set cue points in a track using the Midi controller (in this case Hercules RMX and soon to be 4-MX) will VDJ automatically remember them the next time i load the track into the deck?

Surely if i change my PC and need to re-load VDJ, all previous cue points are lost and if loading from an external HDD i need to start from scratch?

Appreciate your help folks

SIMON.

The cue points are stored in the VDJ XML database and are kept forever. It is kept in user>ducuments>virtual DJ. If you have external drives then the database for files on that drive are kept in the drive root folder.

If you change PC, it's just a case of copying the documents>virtualDJ folder across to the new machine (along with the additional database if you have a drive partition) and it will all be intact. If your drive path changes you can edit the XML to change the path easily.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Keith, Does that mean when im installting VDJ i should install it on the External HDD and not in the standard, Progam Files, VDJ etc?

Cheers

Simon.

No, you should always install VDJ on your C drive. It will only create the database file on external drives if needed.
