Ok so once in a while i use the auto playlist mode (i use remove intro/outro for background music)
I notice that since i switched to V7.0 i get a jump (for a split sec) in the volume when the software is mixing (exactly when the next song starts to play).
It happened more than once but not in every mix, just once in every 3-4 songs.
I use 2 CDJ 400 as sound cards, didn't check to see if it happens without them, but for sure it didn't happen with 6.1.2.
Would appreciate if you guys at Atomix could check and maybe fix it.
Good week everyone.

I had that too in 6.12 and it went away when I turned the Auto Gain from "Auto+Remember" to just "Auto". That should fix it for you, I know it did for me. Now I only get 1 or 2 jumps like that per set, instead of every few songs.

What happens is that when it loads up the song it will be at a lower volume and once its done loading that song however long it takes usually 3-10 seconds, that is when it resets the volume its a common thing.

I completely understand because that happend to me. That is because it "Remembers" the last volume that song used. Lots of times I tweak a songs gian to match better. When thinking of why VDJ would "Remember" a wrong or off volume, I looked at what would change the volume and remember a wrong setting. Auto gain is the only thing.
So if you decide to try it, you will solve the problem as I did. When you loaded VDJ 7 it probably changed that setting back to "Auto+Remember" which is why one might think it is a VDJ 7 thing. When in fact I ran into this issue in VDJ 6 as well. Take it or leave it, that solved it for me. It will hurt nothing to just give it a try.

Make sure that the songs you are playing have been analysed, otherwise there may be a jump in volume (Gain) once the song has loaded in full.

I posted this a week or so ago.
No matter what I do, there is a minor 'hiccup' while top track plays and new track loads just below.
Did NOT happen w/ 6.x but noticed for 7.
Now it's just enough to annoy me - but needs looked into.

Just ran auto mix lastnight for about 3 hours with a hicup, oh yeah video not mp3's. Don't think its a bug.

If you are getting sound break-up, drop-outs or glitches while the next track is loading, then you may have performance issues with your computer and/or incorrect configuration in VirtualDJ (E.g: Too low ASIO buffer setting, so your computer cannot keep up.)
Please see the following for common causes of performance issues and their solutions:

@jpboggis
all of the stuff i played were pre-analyzed, also i didn't get it while loading next track.
i was sitting at the bar when i had an 1 hour playlist, every 2-4 song i got this volume jump for a split second (the bar tender also noticed it).
i think it happens more with videos than with MP3s, but it does happen on both.

Another bug in the demo is when you right click the mixer knobs for the "temporary feature" it performs poorly.

Having the same issue. Every few songs or so the volume will briefly spike during automix at the end of the song. Its a different glitch then the buzz that used to happen with the auto cue on. I've also noticed some volume fluctuation, but that may be another issue.
windows 7
vdj 7
amd Phenom 6core @3.2
16gb mem
1gb 4650 ati
Don't think its a processing issue, and this computer was built by rain, so it shouldn't be a bottleneck issue either.

Happened to me about 10 times last night at the club - maddening!! (VDJ on laptop, 4-sec automixing videos). I just threw a crap-load of changes at the system to see what would happen:
In VDJ - Auto Gain to Auto
In VDJ - Auto Cue to Disabled
In VDJ (playlist options) - Auto-mix type (fade-remove nothing)
In laptop - Zone-Alarm Antivirus ON-ACCESS scanning to off (still does full system scan every day at 1pm)
In laptop - Power Management options - Processor Power Management to 100%
Running a test right now of 10 videos - hasn't happened yet (fingers crossed). :-|
Try this stuff, and if you figure out exactly item fixed it, please let me know. Frustration makes you try a bunch of things at once.

im having volume issues with automix, using videos.
I have auto remember enabled for the Auto Gain (under options)
This has never been an issue til now... Some videos will play very loud (+3.0) gain shows, then some low (-2.3) on the gain. These are videos i have played numerous times in the past with my gain set in the + (plus), never any in the - (neg)
I even tested one of the videos last night to see if the issue would happen, the video that was next, i loaded into my other deck and made sure to set the volume gain at 0.0, when the automix crossfaded into this particular video, the gain showed at (+2.0)...
anyone else having this issue..
