O.k. "beat"...done it & thanks (are you becoming my Guardian Angel?...ha,ha) Now....humm as the guys noticed there is a sort of bug with the new 3rd & 4th deck staying in Vinyl mode so did the "Vinyl_mode 0" but also figured (without lookin at the wiki) that to turn scratch mode back on i needed then..."Vinyl_mode 1" as another short cut. but this should be fixed hopefully on the next version...Everyone agrreeing raise your hands!...

@ Boggis,yes...been reading about it on the other threads as well,,,and had done that,now it looks like when i was setting up cursor left & right (Left toggles between 1 & 3 and so on..) i forgot to delete what the other guy had posted (speaking in bad english...) startin with "Buttonleft...." (oops!..he,he) so got rid of it.but might try the select buttons as well...thanks...

dang! still having problems.the audio stops if all 4 decks are loaded and restarts if i reselect the setup under advance configurations? i'm gonna check everything again...
 
Well I set my Beatlocks (I dont use them ) to : device_side 'left' ? deck 1 leftdeck ? deck 3 leftdeck : on & deck 1 leftdeck : deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 rightdeck : on & deck 2 rightdeck. but i still have the PFL's to select and this as well.but also suspect the cpu clogging so i did a quick check (but will do again when i get home) turning off the wifi and running Game booster and memory improvement program and it worked though had loaded 2 decks with mp3's and 2 decks with video,ran all 4 then stopped the first 3 to see if the forth would clogged as it has before.did not! humm could it be a combination of all this factors? or ? will try again with 4 videos....there is one more thing but again will check before i post.
 
Once again i sorted it out all by my little self,after done everything in the book,there was one thing i had'nt done.I'm not using Tc and turntables just the Rmx jogs so why i have to assign the decks to its own outputs? (deck1/hercules asio/output1&2,deck2/hercules asio/output1&2 and so on).I had it with master outputs ONLY....i knew it was a sound driver issue after trying all the codes!.well its fixed..yeahhh!!! i guess its just the way the hercules behaves....
 
well after all that I'm still having a liittle bit of cloggin.my question is....Should I have the Pfl's coded for just cueing (monitoring) the 4 decks if I have the Beatlocks now set to "Device select.." Lets see...New drivers again? go to the hercules site again...
 
Well..Looks like I'm the only one doing the full Research on the Rmx bug.SiNcE I set each deck to a separate output (actually you only have channel 1&2,3&4 are for headphones) it Recoupes (this is about 95% better now) back if say i start the previous deck again and leave it in a loop (then fade it out) so the next deck will play Without clogging or stopping.anyone's having this problem? thanks!
 
Sorry homie wish I could help but I dont have access to a RMX. I would say just bust out the turntables and forget that controller stuff, lol!!

If you have assigned another button (E.g: Beatlock) to toggle between the decks, then you do not need to also map PFL - Leave this mapped to select

Map the Beatlock button to the second example for swapping the decks only:
device_side 'left' ? deck 1 leftdeck ? deck 3 leftdeck : on & deck 1 leftdeck : deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 rightdeck : on & deck 2 rightdeck


The RMX only has a 2x stereo output sound card, so cannot be used for separate 4 deck outputs (Unless you operate in MONO via advanced sound config, but this is not recommended.) For separate 4 deck output, you will need a card with 8 (4 stereo) outputs, such as Gigaport or Native Instruments Audio 8 DJ.

If you are using the RMX only (No external DJ mixer), then you should use it in master+headphones mode (Inputs: None, Outputs: Headphones, Sound card: Hercules)
 
Thanks JpBoggis...though it seems that when I assigned the outs for each deck AS WELL as having the master outs it made it better.then as the pfl's are corncerned if i set to select would'nt that cause it to see on ly Decks 1 & 2? thanks!!
 
O.k. not fixed.... allready had my beatlocks with that code being that it has (being mentioned several times)but set the "cue select"(pfl's)back to select.its nice that it follows the deck selected if you hit afterwards But the bug its still there AND it got worse when i reconfigured the outs (deleted all decks assigments)to just having the master output.it then clogs even worse? any ideas?
 
select simply allows only one deck to be selected for PFL at a time. It's not limited to just decks 1 & 2.

pfl (New action for v7) allows PFL to be toggled on/off like a conventional mixer, allowing more than one deck to be selected for PFL at a time.

If you are using the Hercules as an all-in-one controller and mixer, then your sound settings should be:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Hercules

If you use the crossfader for mixing, check which decks are assigned to the left and right.sides (The VDJ default 4 deck skin has number indicators to both show and set this.)
 
yeap...pfl its what i'm talkin about ,its the first thing i went and changed (being following this on other posts) now dont get people confused wi th the fact that the pfl's are labeled cue select on the RMX.either way its i have mentioned.its not working properly because it tends to clog up and slow down (the last deck left playin that is)until i start the previous deck again.theres something else i will mention after i test in a minute...lol...
 
well last nite it all worked for about 20 minutes...then it came back :-( though again i must point out a lot less draggin,giving me enough time to start another deck and set it on a loop (after shutting down the volume fader on it) and it seems to be either the deck i started the mix with or the previous deck from the one thats playing that im having to play in the background,but then the glitch goes away.that leaves me with 3 out of 4 decks to mix with.trying to pin point this problem.will check again later tonight.BTW my internal hard drive its 95% full (gotta move some files..) and gotta check again but it seems it was after scratchin some decks.and I know thats when it must use more resources.
