Sujet Sonique Visuals

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey everyone I just recently got into the VJ side of virtual djing and my sonique visuals arent working. I have downloaded both the 72 and 84 versions of the plugins but they never work. I will open up virtual dj and i click ACTIVATE under the sonique visuals and it does nothing, so I try to search for them in my computer but they are nowhere to be found. Can anyone help?

Save the sonique visuals in any special folder on c drive and under effects in VDJ open Sonique and open the folder that you saved them under and pick one. Select slideshow if you want them to rotate. I keep a folder called DJ Extras on my C drive and save the Sonique in the folder for easy finding. Make sure the are unzipped.

I had same issue with VDJ7.2 where sonique would not work even after downloading to specified plugin folders, eventually i had to reload older version vdj5.0. this is the only way i got sonique to work for me. i than update sofware to later vesions of vdj. good luck.

I just had the same problem.
Here's what I did for my fix. (be careful NOT to change notepad to be your default .ini viewer)

The problem I continued to have was that Sonique was not recognizing the location of my .svp files
To correct this I found the Sonique.ini file and opened it with notepad (while VDJ was closed).
Sonique.ini location: C:\Users\(USER_FOLDER)\Documents\VirtualDJ\Plugins\VideoEffect

Original:
Sting filename 4= (was blank). Copied and pasted the correct location

Updated (with location of Sonique .svp files):
String filename 4=C:\Users\(USER_FOLDER)\Documents\VirtualDJ\Plugins\VideoEffect\Sonique

Save the .ini file.

Open up VDJ, navigate to Effects > Video Effects > Sonique.
You will now see the file location in the bottom right.
Click "Open..."
Select the first .svp file

Hope this helps!
