Sujet: Starting off.

What equipment is most necessary/common for being a DJ? Right now i have an idj3 Turntable controller, with vdj LE & broadcaster, ableton, Headphones, and an amp. I have a few extra dollars to put towards Dj'ing and is wondering what i need? Thinking about getting a mixer, but i barely know the difference between them, & getting Dj speakers since the amp i'm using right now is supposed to be used primarily for a guitar (Line 6 to be exact). Any comment/advice would be helpful! Thanks!

So your going with passive speakers and a amp? Going to need tops for highs and subs.... Guitar Center has a nice selection for you to narrow down your search.
Not certain, but you may also need a crossover.
Along with your speakers you will need stands & cables. Always nice to have your own table, but I prefer a folding DJ stand.
Best advice I can give is do your homework before buying anything, read reviews & ask questions. Buy the right equipment once and resist impulse buys.
