I have a question for our users here, a poll in a way, but thoughts and comments are welcomed.
As some of you know Odyssey Gear has a multi colored lit keyboard.
Now currently, I have asked them to include Virtual Dj keyboard shortcut skins like they do for SSL and Traktor.
They are looking for some kind of idea for demand to see if there is enough interest to make them up.
They have to make them up in 1000 piece lots, so it's not something a manufacturer is going to do without having some idea if it will sell.
My first thought was anybody using basic or any other version below Pro would love this feature and Pro when not using control devices.
So please post your thoughts on this so we can give them some input on this.
I have personally always used lit keyboards, but none have been this size or had the quality.

Sounds like a good idea. Personally i use keyboard just for search, but i know too many users would love that idea.

Again, search only really... PLus I'm using a lappy which obviously has it's own keyboard and quite well placed!
Next lappy will have a backlit keybaord simply to make searching in the dark easier...
Good luck with the quest though...

I have two lighted keyboards. However since
I am now using laptop, there is no need for me to have
this type of keyboard.

I use my laptop\'s keyboard, and made custom color coded stickers for each player and various functions...

i have back lit keys from logitech
the odyssey looks much better
i would love to have stickers on the keys
with the logitech the keys are black w/ back lit letters , so adding stickers after the fact just
covers the lighting ......
i use the keyboard shortcuts as well as search

While I can appreciate the input with respect to what some of you have created, that was not the point of this thread, this is a market study.
I'm not interested if you found a usb light gadget or put stickies on your keys.
This is a survey of demand on a keyboard that is lit and currently does not include a Virtual Dj beer proof membrane skin that identifies the keyboard shortcuts.
We are trying to see if enough users would be interested in something like this for Odyssey to make it available.
If you think this is some thing you would be interested in, please reply.

...lol...i think there's enough interest to generate 1000 skins based on the cost to profit ratio...you must differentiate it somehow so that it stands apart from other skins--my suggestion: use graphics instead of words...

I am interested and looking at that Control SL as we speak. Odyssey never seems to have stock on the product I would like to impulse purchase though. But if an Odyssey rep showed up at my door with a VDJ model, I wouldn't even ask how much untill I had my wallet out!
