Sujet: Timecode Signal On SD Card Controller

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi:

Apart from my main gear, I am trying to build up a nice and small equipment for the real small gigs. What I want to do is to be able to hook up an American Audio DP2 with VDJ to control Decks 1 and 2, and also an American Audio SDJ2 to control Decks 3 and 4. Now, here is my question:

Is it actually possible to copy the MP3 CD Timecode file on 2 SD Cards and control VDJ's decks 3 and 4 with the SDJ2? In other words I would like to use a 4 Deck sikin and control the first 2 decks via midi with the DP2 and the other 2 decks with the SDJ2 via the timecode "SD".

My main reason to try this, is to be able to have another audio source besides VDJ in case of a sudden crash on a gig, and obviously to take the advantage of the timecode signal as well as to control 4 physical in 4 virtual decks on a small gear setup.

Thank you in advance, and have a nice weekend!

DJ Castol.

You can do this, just download the time code signal to your SD cards and make sure you get a 4in 4 out audio interface like a MAYA44 so you can send the time code signal to VDJ and VDJ can return the MP3 Audio to your external mixer mixer. You can also route the audio output from decks 3 and 4 to your DP2 master output but you would still need an audio interface so you can send the time code from SDJ2.
