Ok folks, im runnng VDJ Pro. Hardware wise I'm running a Pioneer DJM5000 mixer that is going to take care of the sound card side of things and the control is coming from a Pioneer MEP7000.

Q1 - I'm going to make up a few Virtual Folders. In my old software I was able to create a running order the MP3's that would stay in the placed order. I'm finding that when I do this job on VDJ the order is fine but if I opt for say artist from A-Z and then try and put it back to the running order I first placed the MP3's in I cant get them back in order. My old software is PCDJ FX. Nice and simple if truth be told but has done the job for me over the years.

Q2 - I'm lucky enough to own a OODJ laptop with an in built gigaport soundcard. My issue was that I wanted to cut down on the cables and so bought the Pioneer DJM5000 mixer. I am wondering if it is possible to have the audio come out on CH3 for Deck1 and CH4 for Deck2. I am only going to be running 2 decks on VDJ. As it stands, the only way I seem to get audio is from CH2 which is Deck1 & CH3 which is Deck2.

Q3 - Last question folks. there seems to be a midi signal going to the PC even when I am using my extrenal harddrive as the source. So I am finding that im scrolling through my MP3's on the external hard drive but at the same time on the pc I am also moving through the MP3's in the list. This is a bit of a pain if you have left the the next track highlighted that has to be played from the PC. So, is there any fix for this.
Also if I have playlists in itunes from my ipod, can I import these to VDJ and what is involved in doing this?
Thanks in advance for your help folks.

cheers

Iain

Anyone?

Q1. Only Playlists can keep the original order, the order you created the first time. Virtual Folders act like Windows Folders. They show results according to a column order.
But there is a workaround, if you still want to use VirtualFolders instead of Playlists.
Use a spare column (field) like the new field1 and field2. Place there some numbers showing the order, like 01, 02, ...99 etc
Then you can order your Virtual Folder according to that fiield.
