Hello all...
I am trying to set up things to broadcast with Virtual DJ. Here's my setup...
I have VDJ installed on a laptop that I take to my gigs. I have Windows Home Server at home, that I will be using as my broadcast server. I have downloaded and installed Winamp and SHOUTcast DNAS on the home server. They are both working properly on the home server. I know this by the fact that when I run them together (winamp set to local host) it connects to SHOUTcast with no issues. Now, when I have those two up and running on the home server, I configure VDJ to broadcast to server but I can't connect. Here's what I am wondering...
First of all, does Winamp need to be installed and running on my VDJ laptop and NOT the home server? Second, when I am out on a gig, how do I configure things to remote back to my Server for a "live gig" broadcast?
Anybody use a setup like this in a similar way?
Thanks...
Wayne

when i broascasted for my friends i used
no-ip.com and bounceme.net to stream my broadcasts to. they sorted the rest. i didnt want to broadcast from my own ip. aor from my own computer.
if i remember rightly, and this was about 2 years ago when i set it up, i couldnt use the my computer option because i wasnt broadcasting to a LAN network. you need a server to broadcast via the internet. so set it up as a radio server. dont forget you can only have something like 2 people connected per 1gb ram you have.
