I recently bought the mixdeck and have noticed that the sound quality in my headphones is horrible! I've read this forum and have done everything according to what was recommended, to no avail. My system is HP Pavilion cv4-2167sb with Core M330@ 2.13 HGz, 4 GB RAM, 64 Bit Windows 7. The sound is very distorted, as if the sound levels are too high in the headphones. I have turned down all gain levels on the mixdeck but it hasn't helped much. Is there anything you guys can suggest to help?
Support told me to download 7.02, but the same problem exists. The sound quality is horrible, plus VDJ is not reading any movements made on the mixdeck, they aren't communicating! I load a song into deck 1 (left) and hit play on the left deck of mixdeck and it loads to the right deck on VDJ! I can control the low mid highs eq's on mixdeck and VDJ reads it and adjusts accordingly, but visually nothing changes on the VDJ screen. Also, I can't load any songs anyways other than the one that's playing. Help!!!!
I have a gig tomorrow, and have been really happy with my former controller, Hercules DJ Console RMX. Will use that one I guess. There has been zero tech support from Numark, I have been told to wait 82 minutes, and VDJ support has also been very slow to help. This thing is a piece of junk!

Please ensure that you have the latest firmware and drivers from http://www.numark.com/mixdeck
If you are using a 4 deck skin, go to CONFIG -> Mappers, click on the button to the right of the drop-down list and choose the option to assign controllers. Make sure that the MixDeck is assigned to left and right decks.
The mixer section of the MixDeck is a hardware audio mixer and is not MIDI capable. It cannot control the internal on-screen software mixer in VirtualDJ, so you will never see the on-screen controls move and you cannot use the crossfader for video crossfading.
Make sure that your sound setup (CONFIG -> Sound Setup) is configured for external mixer use:
Inputs - None
Outputs - External Mixer
Output Drop-down - Left deck: Chan 1&2 / Right deck: Chan 3&4
Soundcard - ASIO
Soundcard Drop-down - MixDeck ASIO Driver
