Sujet: Android Control is here - Page: 2

I tried "Dj Control" yesterday with my Htc Desire and it worked...not perfect but it works.

In my opinion this is not more than a joke....it does not have many buttons and the control is not very accurate.

MultiTouch is supported but Desire have the well-known touch problem.....

Hello, is this thing on. Just need help with one button please, just one. Thats it and I wont ask anymore for help about this.

Thanks,
David

I just need a tutorial on how to connect everything!! I've downloaded everything needed but there's no CLEAR instructions on how to run this stuff...........can one of you guys PLEASE type some instructions or make a video, please???

Looks neat, but I want something where I can see the search page on my adroid device and be able to add a song to playlist ect without being at the computer, other wise kinda of useless for me. That way I can add songs while I am talking with people at the bar in between karaoke singers.

Beatbreaker, once I get the cue button staightend out Ill send you instruction and an xml file.
David

OK I got everything to work BUT the CUE buttons, lol!! I'm still tryin though............

Never give up

I understand what you mean David, its like that button sends a signal for the up and down or pressed and released, dual midi signals.......hmmm.......sounds like we need Scotts help here, lol!

Huey

I'll have a look at it again tomorrow (later today!).

if you cant get this one to work go download fingerplay midi its a free app that sends WiFi signals to a program on the computer like loop2be then sends from there to vdj i use it to have a little more control over my samples/effects also the application itself can be customized to an extent as to how you want the layout via thesundacekid.com/blog or something of that sort. Just Google "the sundance kid fingerplay midi"

Quite frankly. I see no reason why VDJ doesn't develop an app for us Android users. If they can do it for iPhone, they can do it for us and not let us have to jump trough hoops like this.

So far I have tried DJ Control. Can't get it to even see the laptop, but that may be an issue with Midi Yoke and Windows 7.

Got Finger play to work, but I don't like the interface on the phone. Can only seem to use the first 2 screens on Finger Play and not the 3rd (button) screen.

Haven't played with TouchOSC yet, that's next, but can't say I care for that interface much either. Maybe if I can label the controls.

Tried Pocketloud for remote access and that works good, except you can't use a slider on the screen because of scrolling.

The lack of Android app is probably due to the fact that Atomix Productions has a fairly small development team and they've already got their hands full with the existing software :)

I understand that, but what about us DJs that are not Apple fanboys and want to use something that would kick an ipads ass, in my opinion, like the Motorola Xoom. I want one and would get it tomorrow, somehow, if it would do the iremote app with it.

Dont wait till tomorrow, go out and get that thing now!! Its great!

Can't justify it yet with the fiance, specially with a kid on the way, but if it's for DJing it is more acceptable. lol

Now that it looks like some people have got this to work I thought that I'd have a go. I've downloaded everything, DSwifiMIDI seems to be working and I'm getting some feedback under the mappers tab in config. Can someone give me a hand with the mapping. As far as I know I've got the Pro Full version (any easy way of finding out?). After I've sorted this out, it's about time I tried hooking up my old DM2....

I've managed to map some of the buttons, but on the DJ control app, both "play" buttons do the same thing (play/pause the currently selected track). How can I map each individual play button to each individual deck?

Try this,
device_side 'left' ? deck 1 play_pause : deck 2 play_pause

Sweet, now just need to work out what's the best option for the wheel, currently using beat_juggle. Anyone else found a better one (that works)?
