Sujet: VCI 300 and Macbook Pro Issue: Trim/gain non-responsive.

I have noticed this problem with my trim/gain controls on the VCI-300 when connected to VDJ. I will raise the trim/gain knob on a channel on the VCI-300 but it will not respond in Virtual DJ right away. Then, as I am raising the trim, it will suddenly catch and jump up to the position I am now.

Example: My gain might be at 4 and I am raising it up to 8 gradually. As I am slowly turning the knob the volume stays the same and then suddenly it will jump from 4 to 8. (numbers are just reference, there are no numbers on the VCI's trim control)

The result is that instead of the volume going up gradually it will suddenly jump up from where it was at first to where I am now and startle everyone in the club.

What might be causing this? Is there a solution? Is this happening to anyone on PC?

By default, the gain knob uses gain_slider, which will not apply any changes until the knob is moved to the correct position as indicated on the VirtualDJ skin. Due to the automatic gain feature in VirtualDJ, that normalises each song, this position will vary as you load each song.

If you would prefer the gain to apply immediately, you could change the mapping to gain, but then this may result in a sudden change as soon as you move the knob, depending on the difference between its current position and the software gain knob on VirtualDJ skin.
