Seems like my NS7 controller is quite sensitive to volume gain. Every time I switch between deck 1 and 2 it seems as if the gain knobs have minds of their own, sometimes too quiet, sometimes way too loud.
Is there any way to have each deck load with the same overall volume? I'm guessing it's the Auto Gain setting but not sure which one to leave it on...

I was struggling with this same problem before someone on here suggested watching the meters and listening in the headphones. Before you crossfade to the next deck, try to align the meters to the same height, and also, if its loud or soft in the headphones, thats how its going to sound through the speakers.
That works for me 99% of the time, but you'll still get a mp3 here and there thats out of whack.
Good luck!

Thanks! That's kinda what I've been doing lately but I guess my question is what are the differences in the Auto Gain settings in the config panel? Maybe this might help us both out.

Agree with DJ Ecoast.
Never used auto gain on my NS7. In mapper i have changed GAIN to power_gain so you have 30% more gain level.
Adjust manually gives you best result.

As i pointed.
Got tpo MAPPER in your VDJ software and change GAIN....... gain to GAIN........power_gain. It will set the gain, allowing up to +30dB in the positive.

Do you assign a keyboard button to do that or a controller button?
