Sujet: Can't put both decks in headphones using Numark DJIO

I have the Numark DJIO audio interface and can't figure out how to get Virtual DJ to let me put both decks into the headphones at once. I installed the drivers already of course and my sound configuration within Virtual DJ is no input, headphones, and ASIO, with master in channels 1 and 2 and headphones in channels 3 and 4. Using the 4.1 sound card option doesn't seem to work either -- when I do that setting a track to go through headphones just seems to make the speaker output louder. With the ASIO settings though I can hear one channel at a time through the headphones fine, but can only toggle which deck to put out to the headphones.

Can anyone help me out? If I can't get this working I still have a week or two to return this audio interface.

Well depending on the skin your using there should be a "Headphone Mix" knob somewhere on the skin. Turn that to here the master and prefaced deck.

The default v7 4 deck skin has PFL buttons that can be toggled on/off for each deck, so you can toggle more than one deck on for pre-listening at the same time.
 
Ok, thanks so far -- I found the headphone mix on some of the 4 deck skins and I see now that you can toggle each channel's PFL on and off in those skins. I also added a headphone mix control to a free knob on my controller, so the problem is more or less solved now (as long as I have my controller). Is there no way to configure the 2-deck skins to just toggle the PFLs individually though? Is there any different control in the program that I could set my controller to use that would do it? In particular if I use the 4-deck skins my controller still does just switches between two of the decks instead of setting them on/off individually.
 
Home FREE does not support controllers except for the first 10 minutes as a trial of Pro. You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Pro to be able to use controllers for more than 10 minutes as well as customise their mappings (See below): http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

The PFL buttons on skins can be changed by editing the XML file of the skin and changing the action select to pfl - Prior to VirtualDJ v7, pre-listening to more than one deck at a time was not possible. For further info, please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Skin%20SDK%20.html

Mappings of controllers are totally separate to the skin and the skin that you are using has no effect on the mapping of the controller or vice-versa. The skin does however determine the number of available decks (I.e: A 4 deck skin is required to be able to use 4 decks.)

If you wish to toggle PFL separately on the controller, then you will need to edit the mapping for these buttons to pfl instead of select - See http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4149/VDJscript_Mapping.html for basic instructions on how to change mappings.
