I'm going to buy my first sound card and was wondering
what are some inexpensive sound cards that I could use?
I also found this sound card(?):

Thanks,
Danny Boy

i started out whit the cheapest 5.1 card i could find i think it was around 15 euro. it was fine for playing at home but hooked up to a big pa system it was shit. i saved up some money and bought a deejay trim instead.
save up some money and get better stuff it will pay off. i don't mean that you should go out and get pro gear but sometimes its better to be smart than cheap.
what setup do you need your soundcard for. are you planning to use timecods or just run external mixer?

well for versatility I'd go for the good old workhorse like the Numark Dj/io soundcard.
good realible, compact, and will do the job just fine.
I have two, one for back-up, I bought them secondhand on ebay for around £45 ($72)
and after 18 months of use never had any problems with them ;)

even to buy new they used to be around £90 ($145)
now you can pick one up for less than 70 ! ($111.)
hope this helps ;)

What about the NI Audio 2Dj, it's cheap and also packs a very good punch, according to many people that I have talked to.
I use the American Audio VersaPort, and it's really good, and also gets the job done.

The NI Audio 2 is awesome. The sound quality is equal to the 4 and 8 (I've owned all 3). It's nice and portable and fits in your pocket. No timecode though, but doesn't sound like you need that.
Best bang for the buck, I still use mine at gigs atleast once a week.
