Since I'm now using a Denon MC6000, I would like to request that VDJ add in an adjustable crossfader contour.

Already possible I believe; have a look at the information on crossfader_curve in VDJScript which allows you to use presets or define your own curve.
 
I have a few skins that already utilize this feature.
