Sujet: Thinking of buying this laptop to start using VDJ

I am getting ready to change the program I use to DJ and am looking for a laptop to run music, video, ambients, slide shows with VDJ. Want to make sure that I will be able to mix videos.

Have been to a local computer shop that has built and serviced machines for me in the past. I took the specs suggested from VDJ to run music and video. This is what they suggested:

Asus K52J with 15.6" HD/LED BL, Intel i7 740QM, 4GB DDR3, 500GB SATA HD, DVD RW, CARD READER, WEBCAM 1.3mpx, Wireless N, AMD Radeon HD6370m 1 GB, VGA/HDMI output, 4 USB NIC, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 6 cell Li-ion battery.

I'm planning to put mp3 music on laptop hard drive and videos on an external hard drive.

I've been using a computer for about 8 years but this will be my transition to using a laptop to entertain so I want to make sure I'm covered.

Any red flags or suggestions?

Looks good to me. I'm using an Asus G50v and it does Video with no problem.
