Sujet: installation error new/upgrade install

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

i recently upgraded to vdj 7.02 and during installation it gets stuck either at 1 percent or 2 percent
then i used task manager to close the installation but there is another vdj still running and windows wont end the process.
i reinstall and it goes through with install then it askes me to reboot after that i open vdj and it askes for serial i type it in the i get an installation error. so i try to reinstall and it tells me i need to close vdj before upgrading but its not open. so im like hm in task manager there is a vdj file open witch is the dvj file that is in the vdj folder in program files that wont close when i tell it to end in task manager.

now i put in a ticket with vdj support team and they want to access my computer through a remote access to see my configuration
question 1: if you buy a software and it wont install why does tech supp. need to see my configuration when the software wont open?
2: why is vdj file running in the background after a new unsuccessful install?
3: what configuration does tech support need to see after i tell them what system specs i am running and the old vdj was working that i had prior to this upgrade?

if anyone can help please respond asap.

Well, I can't speak for tech support but I can say that when I do tech support for people sometimes it's just quicker and more effective to "do it myself" I'm sure they don't want to get in and "hack" your machine, they probably are as stumped as you as to what is going on with your installation and would like a better "look" at it.

At least they are willing to help you. I would listen to them and let them help you.

i am gong to let them. and i dont think they are going to hack my computer but i do think its real odd that i tried to install this on several computers with different specs and its giving me the same errors. I have never had this problem in the past. with the older version of vdj or any other software. but they are helping me hopefully they will get it fixed.

ok after hours of tech support we finally got vdj 7.02 pro up and running. thanks to maromax and his great assistance i am officially ready to work. what was found was that windows 7 32 bit has a problem letting vdj write to the registry. not sure what all the details are but he fixed and im happy. if you have any questions dont hesitate to talk to them they will get you straight and please dont get frustrated like i did. it doesnt help lolol. if you dont know then i will tell you that this software is the best and if you like it and are a real dj then buy it. peace

also the techs name is

hit him up if you got a problem. he wont stop till he gets it right 4 hours of work non stop and now i am up and running to do my mixes...

glad to hear it.

update: i installed a new 64 bit windows and it installs flawlessly so if you have a old version of windows 7 you might want to update to a new one. and that should do the trick
