Well recently i was gonna get two ttx usb's but they guy i was going to get them from pulled a dirty move and sold them to someone else. SO now my plan to go timecode is kind of stumped. Anyways i found out about these midi controllers (VMS4 and dn mc6000) and they really drew my attention. I know the scratch capabilities are limited, but i want to know if this would be a good idea to get and which one would be better to buy. I have enough for the vms4, but should i save up for the denon? or are there other controllers that are better than these in about the same price range??

The Denon MC6000 is in a whole different league to the VMS4. Save your money for that.

Timecode is old hat, and what you can do with the MC6000 will blow you away. I have had it since before Xmas and it really is stunning.

do you think the 6000 would be better than perhaps getting two cd decks and a mixer?? im just wondering because i saw two ndx800's and a iM9 mixer for the smew price as the dn mc6000. what do u think?? would another alternative be even better? thanks though for pionting out its levels above the vms4!

The denon deck is good if you dont want to carry much and its light. The NDx800 decks with the mixer is a more comfortable deck to mix on and Its more flexible to use. You can do more with separate decks than just one controller. If you like scratching, you will get a better responce from the Numarks.

ok.. since i do want to get into scratching i think the 800's would be better. or maybe the dns1200?? now should i get an effects mixer? or just a 2 channel one? im thinkin the dxm 06 or 09 by numark, but any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

Get the Numark 800 decks and the 09 mixer. Its better to have more on your mixer than just 2 channels. The numark X9 mixer looks good also

ok! is the platter response on the 800's good?? i mean ive heard the denon 12's are better and more reliable, blah blah.. i mean ive noticed that many ppl put down numark when compared to denon...
thnx for the advice!
