Sujet: I need help on recording mixes!!

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Is it possible to record over a track you have already recorded? For instance, if I was adding beats to a song and was recording it, but made a mistake and put the wrong beat. Could I rewind the recording and fix the part I don't like? I hope I'm making sense!!

Not unless your recording with a multi track recorder.

And what exactly is that?

Sorry, I am new mixing. I'm more of a movie maker, but I decided to branch out and make my own dance mixes.
I want a program that allows me to record my work, but undo it if i don't like it. Is there not a program I can download so that I can do that?

serato bridge would do it, but you have to buy both sl3 and abelton 8, so you'd be out of pocket around 1000 bucks, and besides its more fun to make mistakes... It also depends on how you are mixing eg, midi controller, timecode's, mouse and keyboard. If your mixing with a controller or timecodes I would suggest practice, but if its just a passing interest and your just using the mouse, just use sync, but it would be advisable to get something to control the eq's.
