Any tips on transferring music to an external HD? Will cue points, BPM info etc still be there, or am I looking at starting from scratch? Is there any significant lag, or potential errors that could result from loading from external device?

A simple copy and paste should do the trick. Just make sure to copy & paste the database file with it and everything should stay intact! I've always used a powered USB hub to run my external HD and have yet to have a problem with it.

I was actually going to ask about a USB Hub. My MBP only has 2 USB's, but I want to keep my MixDeck, Mbox, Keyboard and Trigger Finger all hooked up...will a usb hub do the trick without experiencing any Latency in VDJ or my other Audio software (Reason 5, Protools, etc) ???

I have a 4 port USB hub. My HD, VCI-100, Novation Dicer, and a wireless mouse receiver are all plugged into it and I have never experienced a problem when the hub is powered up. I did have a problem once while testing (momentary freeze) but had forgotten to plug the hub in. I use this set-up 3 nights a week for 5 and a half hours per night (first 2 hours on automix/last 3.5 solid mixing, juggling, samples, etc.) and it has been solid for me.
