Sujet Trouble recording audio mixes

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Having an issue here recording audio mixes using Virtual DJ Pro 7. I'm using 2 Pioneer CDJ 900's, 1 Pioneer DJM 5000 Mixer & Macbook Pro. I have a RCA to 1/8 cable running from the "record out" on my mixer to the Input on my Macbook. I've seen other threads saying I need to set it up in Advanced Configuration but still can't get it right.

Problem is both of my CD decks are running through the same channel on my mixer. I tried a variety of configurations (some I've listed below) and keep having the same issue. Any thoughts on what I need to have the settings on? I plug the CDJs into my laptop directly via USB (they have soundcards built in). Do I need to maybe adjust something on Mac audio settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Deck 1 - Pioneer CDJ-900
Deck 2 - Aggregate Device
Record Loopback - Built-in Input

I'm not completely sure, but I think you need to buy either the Pro Basic or Pro Full version to be able to output the decks separate. A little more info is in:

And please try not to cross post the same question all over the place.

I think it should be possible to do with neither advanced config in VDJ nor aggregate devices in Mac Audio settings. But let's try both...

Try:

* In Mac Audio setttings, create an aggregate device wich contatins the both CDJ's. It should have four outputs.

* In VDJ advanced config, assign Deck 1 to aggregate device/output 1 & 2, and Deck 2 to aggregate device/output 3 & 4. (Record Loopback as before.)

Curious question: Why don't you use the DJM 5000 as sound card/output device?

why not record straight from VDJ?

Are you using external sound fx?

Do you have any external hardware? (MIDI controller, sound card/IO, mixer)

How its going. I have a denon dn mc 6000. I have the Mic going through the denon controller. The sounds come out the speakers. It just wont record. I'm assuming i need to go to advance configuration. Is that correct?

I think the advanced audio config is easiest to fiddle around with in this case. I've never worked with a dn-mc-6000 or other controller with built in sound-card, but I downloaded the manual a few minutes ago and tried to "swim in the dry".

As far as I can read... (from page 17-18 in manual)
On the dn-mc-6000:
* Turn on the POST switch ON in the MIC settings area at the left side.
* Select REC OUT/MIC output mode in the USB area in the back.

In VDJ advanced audio config:
* Outputs matching your previous config.
* "Record loopback" from your Denon input channel 1&2.

Use the MIC ON 1 and MIC ON 2 switches on the dn-mc-6000 to activate the mics.

Hope this helps!

Hello Matts, I'm still having the same issue because vdj will not let me config in advanced while using the denon mc 6000 mixer. I will still like to thank you for trying.
