Keep It clean I will close this forever if it gets out of hand, its ment to be a fun discussion, a bit of fantasy running a global company such as this. Have fun

I would commission a controller with or without built in 5 stereo channel sound card, no mixer. Put more limits on unregistered users.

improve the native eq in virtual dj.....

If I ran Atomix I would...
Continue working hard to innovate better than the competition.
I would order R&D to colorize the database display. Hot songs RED. Mellow songs BLUE. Allow grouping by color. Index like a rainbow. Right click listbox with 4 default colors for speed selection. Palette colors are optional. Yeah... something like that.
And I would get R&D to develop fool-proof anti-piracy. I hate competing against DJ's that run cracked versions. Make 'em pay for it like they should.

.........I would start out by definitely looking at developing a signature VDJ controller, next I would rework the sampler. I would make video effects independent of each other, 1 video displaying 1 effect while the other displays another. Hire a few more teamers and have them work in monthly shifts, seems like a few need a vacation and sometimes it shows in their responses. Give no license user less freedom. And hire me as a VDJ spokesman, lol, no.really I would hire me!
Thanks for all the hard work thus far and look forward to many years to.come

1. A dedicated controller thats not really small and crampted, something that you can atleast easily work everything on the default screen.
Some of you might know that I recently started mapping my RMX, funny really after having it for all these years. I was expecting to own it for 6 months or so but nothing came out to rival it in my opinion so I just battled on.
Anyway, I started to map it and noticed that I was having to over write excisting functions in order of acheiving what I wanted to do, so i ended up in a "what would you rather" situation.
And then couldn't really do it properly as it should be so I ditched the mapping thing and am selling the controller and will now just battle it out with the MP-X10 for a bit.
A dedicated controller should at least trigger everything on the default skin logically and illiminate having to use the mouse. Sampler selection and trigger, Effect selection and trigger, Loop control and more.
2. Total clamp down on NLU's
3. More built into the software as oposed to having to download and install everything, e.g. Battery level Meter
4. Skins should only be approved if all sizes are included, default VDJ skin should have every possible size.
5. Taylor the software towards mobile DJ's with great karaoke features.

I would consider re-branding VDJ, at least in the States. The Virtual part of the name gives wrong impression, sounds like I just program the set and let the application do the rest. Automix is an option but the name doesn't come close to describing the vast array of functionality built into this great application. Coincide the name change with a major upgrade release.
Wish I could actually present a proper name but I'll leave that to more creative minds. LOL

I would appoint Mp3Rick as the Director of the Common Sense Department and provide him with an a stun gun to assist those in need of a quick charge.
I would appoint TALA as the Official Forum Translator to help translate the Kings English to American English so I can understand what he's talking about.
I would appoint WILDCOUNTRY as the Atomix Texas Ambassador in charge of the Forum Border Fence and supply him with an AK47 to help control those pesky Serato people.
I would award JIMMY B 700 gallons of beer to entice him to post in the forum again.
I would put chucknorrisyouwimps in charge of cleaning the Atomix stripper poles and he WILL work for TIPS.
AMAHM: I would send him to Libya to convince Gaddafi Canada really IS a wonderful place to live.
I would make Clavel my sex slave and "afterwards" I would have the FULL AUTHORITY to ADD and DELETE stars whenever I damn well pleased.
That's what I would do. :^)

Off the top of my head (these are not criticisms, just observations of being a forum member for a while)
1 - Default skins in all common resolutions, or all skins based on vector graphics so they automatically expand
2 - More phone and online support to support the whole word timing ways and not just the US. Guaranteed response time for support tickets
3 - Vastly improved "keyword" based search engine with direct links to relevant FAQ's etc.
4 - Shorter timespans between releases, especially for bugfixes. Current version with the install errors is still not sorted.
5 - More support for the Mac version. I went back to windows as I found it severely lacking in several areas.
6 - Crackdown (sorry for the pun) on people who are blatantly using cracked Pro versions whilst pretending to have home or LE
7 - A "what we're working on" section to keep people up to date. Not giving away trade secrets but letting people know the status with controller support, bugfixes etc. good example is the Pioneer controller where people are constantly asking what's happening but no-one from Atomix has responded lately.
8 - A seperate, high end "really pro" product (with better software security) to get VDJ away from the toy image and leave VDJ as a lesser level software for cheap controllers and bedroom wannabe DJ's
9 - Update the forum to PHP or equivalent. This forum format has worked (and still does) great for the company but it sucks for the end user.
That's about it for just now.
Remember, not criticisms, just observations!
