Sujet: Netsearch song ID instead of song name...

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

When a song is played trought Netsearch, becomes part of the History playlist... OK, as all the songs... but, If the next time you run VirtualDJ, you look at the History, all the Netsearched songs appear with the song ID, not the name, so it's impossible to know wich song is until you load it to a deck...

The question is? Is this normal? Or is something related with my setup?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If is only my issue, and you don't have it, please help me to get rid of it!

Thanks for your help!

I also see the same. The correct info is however recorded in the tracklisting.txt file, so you can use that as a reference too :)

My cached songs appear as all the rest of my songs in history, artist and title. Of course, I renamed all of my songs.

Thank you SBDJ, this is a workaround but how is this possible, that somebody had it working, if Netsearch is not configurable...

When you say "I've renamed all the songs" this include the Netsearch songs?

Thanks a lot for your help.

You can rename the gsxxxxx file as you can any other.

Yes, of course I can rename the file, but, the problem is...why is the ID instead the name saved on the history if all the hard disk files are saved with its name?

Thanks a lot for your help!

It's the software created like that or is a bug?

You will need to cache the songs to your hard disk first before adding them to the playlist. A playlist cannot contain live streamed files (That's why they appear as numbers, because they are not real files on your hard disk.)

To cache a song, simply right-click on it in the NetSearch search results and choose the option to download it to the cache.

Once the song has finished downloading, click on the NetSearch folder and the song will appear in the file list.

Add this cached file to the playlist.
