Sujet Analyzing files

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello to all. As this topic may already be solved. I am new to virtual dj. so i need help. i have been slowly analyzing my files on my macbook 2.4ghz 2gb. As i have over 15,000 files to analyze. three times now virtual dj has " unexpectedly closed" by itself while analyzing files. PLease help. I am a serato dj for 7 years now and have never had problems while analyzing tracks. So i am a bit disscouraged by it. What am i doing wrong. I will not gig with a software that crashes simply by analyzing a file.

You may have a corrupted song in your collection somewhere that is causing this problem. Did you see which song it was last trying to scan at the time?

Do you have a crashguard report in /users/YOURNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ ? If so, please copy and paste the last few entries from it.

A filter folder can be used to list files that have not been scanned yet: http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/3972/Pre-analysing_your_music_collection.html - However, VirtualDJ LE is limited software and may not have the option to create filter folders. If this is the case, you can use Home FREE instead without the MC6000 connected to do the scanning while at home. You can also upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

If you do not know which file caused the problem, try scanning your music 1000 songs at a time until the problem occurs, then scan 100 at a time until it occurs again, then 10 at a time, then 1 at a time and you should be able to narrow it to the exact file that is causing the problem.
