This is for the newbie DJ's!
Take it from the old vet here, don't get caught up in the "Sound EFX SYNDROME!"
This is where a DJ thinks he/she needs a bunch of sound EXF to be a good DJ, WRONG!!! All this really does is expose your true skills as a DJ or should I say lack thereof.
Am I saying don't use sound EFX? No! I'm simply saying, don't get in the bad habit of using them like a junkie on drugs! It's fine to throw in a siren, a horn, your DJ Drop or whatever, but know when to do it, how to do it and when not to do it.
Your sound EFX to compliment your set, their not to be used ANNOY your crowd!
Sound EFX SYNDROME is Curable with PRACTICE and you don't need a prescription for it!
