I'm trying to get VDJ prepped and ready on a new Dell Inspiron 17R system. Graphics card is NVidia GeForce GT 525M. Playback is smooth in VDJ until I activate the hardware acceleration option on the video tab. When I try to adjust the hardware acceleration slide on display>advanced settings>troubleshooting.....I can't click the button for change settings, it's greyed out. Video playback is choppy when hardware acceleration is active, but the image does go to my external display. As soon as I deactivate hardware acceleration, I loose the image on the external display. Thanks for your help.

Just did some research and it seems that the problem is this machine has an integrated video card (intel) and the geforce 525m. My problem is getting VDJ to use the Nvidia card and not the integrated POS.

If you go into config, video, the first option you have has a pull-down. If you select that pull-down, do you see the nVidia option?

Did anyone find a solution for this? I am having a similiar issue with a Sony VAIO i5 w/ATI Radeon 6630m (with onboard Intel HD Graphics). When hardware acceleration is turned on - no video on VDJ or external display. However, click acceleration off, video works, but no effects or clipbank. I've upgraded the drivers and even adjusted the resolution DOWN to lower levels and can't get the video to work? I upgraded from a Dell Inspiron 15R (N1510) that worked just fine with it's ATI video card, but now can't get my new Sony to play videos with effects/transitions. Anyone know if this is a AMD/ATI issue or VDJ 7.04? Also - I used Win 7 Ultimate, same as my previous Dell. THX
