Sujet: Asio soundcard error

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi Guys
Just installed virtual DJ 6 pro

I want to use it with time coded vinyl which i have just ordered

set up as follows

external mixer with 2 x technics 1200's

I installed VDJ,everything fine, but as soon as i select 2 x timecode as a input, and output as external Mixer, the asio box pops up saying error in ASIO soundcard driver
I tried installing asio4all or something, but that didnt work, and i had no sound even on normal play, so i got rid of it

do i need a new soundcard?

if so, would this one work?

thanks for any help

No, you need a sound-card with 4 in and 4 out like this. The turntables connect to the inputs, and your mixer to the outputs. I do not believe that you can use time-code with the version you have.

thanks for the reply
is it not possible then to connect the turntables to the mixer, and the mixer direct to the pc via a phone>3.5mm jack and get it to work?

thats what i am using currently, but obviously i am now having the soundcard issues with the asio error

I know people who have set it up this way but dont have the asio error/

are there are any internal soundcards i can use? (I just suggested usb, as i thought it would be easier just to plug it in)

p.s i havent bought that usb card yet, just something i saw :)

Hi I have 2 Delta Audiophile 24/96 sound cards in my system and they word using "simple sound card", "External mixer".
from the documentation I believe these cards support ASIO, but I'm unable to get it to work with virtual DJ.
I must admit i'm not sure the use/advantages of asio in VDJ, is there better audio quality or is asio only used with timecodes with I dont use.
Please excuse the newbee questions on this issue .... Cheers

Thanks Teamer,, but a friend told me, version 6 was easier to use, so thats what i bought from the ebay website

I am up and running now anyhow, but it now gives me another problem....

I cant seem to get the 100% quality signal correct

if i apply RIAA filter in de-bug, it goes to 100%, but the circles are all fuzzy?
when i play a track, i get soud, but the quality isnt great, a piano like tune sounds a bit whirry if that makes any sense

here is a screen shot

Well it appears that you have most likely purchased an illegal pirate version of the software.

VirtualDJ Pro can only be legally purchased from http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Legitimate licenses also cannot be sold, given or transferred to another user. Doing so is a violation of the End User License Agreement: http://www.virtualdj.com/atomixproductions/disclaimer.html

Please report the seller to eBay and then support the software and its future development by purchasing your own legitimate license from http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

This will also give the ability to download from our vast library of free add-ons ( http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/index.html ) and also download future version updates of the software.

We would always recommend running the latest version of the software, so that you can enjoy all the latest features.

NOTE: Illegal versions may not work correctly and may contain bugs due to illegal modifications made to the software by the hackers who created the cracked version. They are also usually out-of-date versions of the software and may also contain viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

so the guy selling it said 6.0 is the best , which just happens to be what he is illegally selling?

you don't own your software and you were given good advice from a company representative ......

i started with 3.4 and i use 7.0.3 at the moment

No, the ebay seller didnt recommend it, someone else did
There are lots of ebay sellers selling this software, hence why i assumed it was legitimate

Unfortunately they are all selling illegal versions and you have wasted your money.

As well as having an old and out-of-date illegal version of the software, you also do not have access to all the benefits that a legal version gives you, including free add-ons.

We would recommend reporting the seller to eBay, claim a refund if you can and then use the money towards your own legitimate license.

You can try timecode and other Pro features for 10 minutes at a time in the latest Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html

reported him already, and he has gone off the ebay.
Going to save up a for the newer version, in the meantime, going to use the version 6 i got, so i'd appreciate any help on the screen shot if anyone can shed any light on the problem.....taking there is a problem?
