Sujet: Change CBG Grid?

Over the weekend, I loaded the Flo Rida song "In the Ayer". The BPM was scanned as 126.2, which seems right on. However, the grid was off by about half a beat. I have mapped my "C" key on my keyboard to adjust_cbg + 1, but how would I script it if I wanted to shif the grid say .01 beat? Or .1 beat?

Best if you create a shortcut for beat_tap and do it by ear.
 
I find this happens a lot - in fact nearly all the time - so I just use the Manual Edit --> Phase adjusters
 
When I right click and select manual edit, I do not have a choice for phase adjustment. All I see is a BPM correction window.

???
 
I agree with Rick on this one, map a button, "Beat_tap", its fast and easy..

Yes - I agree that mapping a buton for beat_tap is quick and easy when VDJ can't get the correct BPM. However, I already have the right BPM... I just need a phase shift for the CBG.
 
beats - adjust_cbg +1
percentage - adjust_cbg +0.01%
time - adjust_cbg +1000ms

you can use +/-

but you should be able to use phase in edit bpm
 
You only get the full BPM dialog box if the track is loaded onto a deck.

I suggest you try it first.
The cbg will hardly ever be right at the end of the song, but on the intro this has been the best method for correcting bpm with the tap method or a single touch of the mapped key to shift the phrase.
The times when bpm will be off along with cbg's are with a 5/4 beat, a transitional song that changes in bpm and normal drift.
On devices that have cue/play and pause I map the pause button for this purpose.
The play button is changed to play/pause like most two button decks to utilize the pause key for cbg adjustment.
I used to use my G and H keys to shift left and right, but this method is best imo.
 
OK great thanks. I have mapped the following:

Keyboard C = adjust_cbg + 1
Keyboard x = beat_tap
Keyboard SHIFT C = adjust_cbg + 1%

This last one is not working though. I have also tried adjust_cbg +1%. Am I typing something wrong?
