I been using VDJ for a longtime now and finally for the last 3 months i been using an MBP which I use only for DJing. My music is stored on an external WD Passport drive.
Since i now have the HD space and dedicate MBP i been thinking about moving all my music to the MPD vs the external. One reason to do it is to free up a usb port since the MBP only has 2.
Curious what other Mac users are doing with there music.

I have most of my music on internal storage and have backup on an external all songs that I'm sure I'm not going to be playing often or at all stay on the external. internal storage is faster then external. and as you said it frees you an extra usb port so no doubt but it on you MBP
