Ok heres the crack.
I select the serato CV02 A side as the noisemap drop on one of the earlier CV02 vinyls and it pretty much works straight away with a 100% signal.
Now without changing any settings what so ever i drop on one of the newer CV02 vinyls (bought a week ago) and the signal hovers around 1% sometimes jumping up to around 30%. Now if i select in the debug menu invert signal phase and invert signal stereo i will then get 100% signal but they seem a little glitchy and not very responsive (unlike the earlier CV02 vinyl).
If i choose the new serato noisemap engine then they setup pretty much the same as the older CV02 vinyls and get a 100% signal but as mentioned before i drop the needle right at the start of the vinyl and the song starts to play approx 30secs - 1minute into the song.
This info is for teamers to look into instead of having to read all posts.
Thanks

Are we going to recieve any help with this or not, or am i still stuck with software that does still not work porperly like i have been ever since version 6?

Man bro as much as I'd love to see our time code engine work as well as other software I just don't see it happening, its a MIDI controller world out there. Don get me wrong it has gotten better but there is still room for improvement. I know in my area I'm the only person in my town that I know who uses a MIDI controller everybody else is using turntables. At all of our shows we use turntables. Although we have a show coming up with the New Boyz and there DJ has asked for CD 1000's which I don't have access to. That's another story. Idk when it comes to timecodes its a different story around here. Most people will laugh at us and say get with the times or that they work just fine etc etc. Although I love vdj there are time when I have to use other software.

So in other words virtual dj take ya money then dont give a shit about you after that.
They should get rid of the whole timecode thing then in my opinion cus it clearly is not useable at a gig the way it is.
Typical really we have been speaking about this for a few days now and not once has one of the devs stepped in to help or confirm anything regading these new serato vinyls EVEN THOUGH THE RECOMMEND THEM ON THERE HARDWARE PAGE!!!!.
Wish i could sell my vdj as it was a total waste of my money.......

If your going to use Vinyls with Virtual DJ, Use Numark Vinyls.. Not seratos. The numarks sound better with old engine 4. In my opinion, I think the engine needs a buffer. The numarks will perform better than serato timecodes but, it wont be rock solid like Scratch live.

Now Rob I wouldn't go that far and trust me I understand your frustration but if you can try and get some Numark timecodes. They work way better then the Serato vinyl. It used to be the same way with Traktor, everybody would say its only good with MIDI controllers and now look. Their timecodes put Serato to shame!! I think VDJ needs to scrap all other timecodes but the Numarks, Serato and Traktor. Focus on making them work as well with VDJ as they do with their own programs and it'd be a rap!! If I know anything about that part of the development process I'd be all over it but we can only work with what were given........... Well tonight in my quest at makin the Serato vinyl work I discovered that even when I do get a hundred % the pitch goes crazy with the slightest movement, well the on-screen slider. If I moved the slider just a touch up it would go all the way up!! So if I was at say 95 it would go to 70 sometimes even lower. The same if I had to move the pitch up. It'd go from 100 to like 150!! If I zeroed out my slider it wouldn't return to 0. Now this was using the SL3. I thought maybe my tables were taking a dive but it was the same on 2 pairs of TECHNICs and a set of Numarks. But when I switched to my NI Audio 8 everything was good. The pitch worked like it was suppose to. Oh and this was happening in absolute mode which is why I switched out tables............. So now I'm really puzzled.......... looks like the SL3 just became a paper weight, Lmao!!
Anyways I'm sure the team has read this thread and hopefully looking into our findings but like I said sometimes you gotta use what works best for you in certain situations. For me I have found that with the Numarks I can cut, scratch, juggle and backspin with those so its good enough for what I do.

I use the Serato v2 time codes as well just as the devlopers suggested and I have not been at a constant 100% when spinning. I've bought new M44 cartridges and had new rca's installed on my tt 1200's. It never fails that somethings go out of whack within my sets. In my 5 hour hour gigs my timecodes start screwing (dragging, loose signal when back cueing, slow pickup when track starts) up after 2.5 hours. The only saving grace is that I run them through a Hercules RMX and I can change the configuration to no inputs and use the controller with out interuption of my mix. I am beginning to believe that timecoded vinyl is not VDJ strong suite. I don't know if the problem is hardware or software related. I'm on the verge of buying a Rane TTM 56 and SL3 or 4. I definitley want to get the mixer but I would like to salvage my investment into VDJP. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the timecodes to be as efficient as Serato? I rarely hear of any Dj's complaining about timecode performance of Serato.

In my opinion the Numark timecodes are the best, ditch the Serato vinyl and get the Numarks or Traktor. Unless your using the old style Serato, you'll never get a stable signal, well in all my findings that's how it is. And don't be fooled Serato can take a shit on you at anytime, if you think not your a fool........ Do a search in the General forum for "Perfect Timecodes", its my thread with all my findings on different timecodes.
Good Luck

I think the reason a lot of folks on here have the Serato records including myself is because they were recommended here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/TimeCode%20Config.html
Can anyone provide a few screenshots of the settings they're using once they have managed to get the CV02s working 100% or close to it? My main gripe is that once the song goes past the 2min mark or thereabouts the pitch starts to increase which is just not acceptable for live use...

Yeah I already know that. Like I said the newer version I can't get to work but the older style (the ones with the big lettering) I have those working just fine. I'm not at home but I'll post my screen shots when I get home. What soundcard are you using??

Thanks Huey. I wish I'd dug into the forums a little deeper before just accepting the advice of the website.
I use the RMX and have Stanton STR8-150 TTs.
I picked up the CV02s about a year ago and never really did much with them until recently as I have been enjoying real vinyl mixing so much but felt like I would soon be able to combine the two but with the way it is working at the minute I wouldn't dream of it!
