hi guys, now im pro, ive got me some videos to paly around with and i have a few questions.
1: is it possible to stack effects and/or transitions?
2: is it possible to stack your mixed videos with your camera feed?
3: is it possible to take effects from my webcam software and incorporate them into VDJ?
4: is there a skin that has a larger video window?
5: is there a decent video skin for netbooks? (tried one of the condenced skins but vid window is too small)
6: is it possible to map my mp3 e2 for use with both video and audio at the sam time?
thanks, john

1. Effects, not transitions.
2. No, but if you have the camera as the audio only plug in, you can set the video crossfader in the middle, and have live on one side, and video on the other.
3. I don't think so, but try it.
4. Yes, look in the skin forum.
5. Don't know, try them out.
6. What's the difference between audio and video? None.

5. You will likely be disappointed running video on a netbook as they are very under powered. But as AMAHM previously stated... try it.

1. Already answered by Rick.
2. Use the free Firetext plugin, it has picture in picture facility (PIP) you can put your camera feed any size and any where on screen, it also has a transparency function. You will however have to accept that it does come with a small Firetext logo, a little inconvenience for such a great free plugin that comes with a whole host of other features.
3. You might be able to get your web cam software to use vdj output as your source and then output it through it's effects to your screens from there.
4. I use the V Mix skin, the output monitor is set as a large screen window and I opt for the right and left decks to have smaller windows.

@AMAHM,
2: shame, i would really like to be able to mix both videos and my camera feed at the same time. so people can see not only the mix, but the booth too.
3: i will do that
6: to explain better, i would like to have dual function buttons so i can have one mapper for both audio and video. press a button to change as with the scratch feature. if you catch my drift.
@Super, I would only be running video on it so i can play around when im laid in bed, on the sofa or on the go. its much easier to carry a netbook. mines not too bad power wise. 1.66ghz atom, 2gb ram, w7 basic. it runs video pretty smooth iive not tried it on an external yet but i don thitnk it would be too bad ok for messing around as i say.
cant wait for the quadcore netbooks to arrive. the daul cores are already available which would be really good for a mobile rig, but quad core :D (drool)
@Tayla,
2: thanks for the info, i may use it, but i would really like to be able to incorporate the camera feed into the mix and be able to add effects etc. ill play around and see how it goes. firetext eh? im sure i already have that.
3: yes this is possoble, but it means having to use the cameras control pannel to activate efffects and they are either on or off. im thinking i would like to be able to launch them with keyboard/controler buttons. somehow transfer them into vdj effects.
4: Vmix skin sounds good, ill give it a shot.
thanks guys, ill keep posted how i get on.
