I got called to Cover a sub-Contract last night, so I loaded up and headed out....

To a Family farm for a wedding reception - in a tent.
Here's the fun part:

Anyone ever experienced a Prairie Thundershower? (mid west guys help me out here)

I had my speakers on a concrete pad, and on 2x4 blocks, my electrical cords gaff taped to my stands above the ground.
The Party ROCKED!! I ended up having the bride and several bridesmaids using my subwoofer as a go-go platform
My van got stuck in the Canola field where they had us park. This was so much fun to push out at 1 am
Then drove back to Edmonton for 2.5 hrs avoiding various whitetail and mule deer and the occasional coyote

Over all though - It was fun. I'd do it all again - weather frustrations and all!!

sounds like a fun adventure

glad you didn't get stuck worse .....

Hey Chuckers - I noticed you got another star!!
Congrats buddy!!

I respect determination, the payoff is the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles with over the top results.

I was at a camping resort once scheduled to do a outside video dance for Sat night.
Well a storm such as this ripped through on Friday night and killed the power....and water...for 36 hrs and use your imagination with hundreds of people etc...

So when it came to the gig I was parked next to a field and ended up using my motor home generator to git'er done and again, people see the conditions and appreciate it so much more.

Glad you had such a good gig Marcel

"The Show Must Go On"

the worse the conditions the better the rep afterwards if ya pull it off.

coulda got weird tho if the bridesmaids started mud wrestling...

when i started reading the subwoofer sentence, i thouhgt you were going to say they were using it for a thrill ride...straddle the sub and feel the vibes...lol
