Sujet: Akai LPD8 - USB-MIDI Pad Controller question (VDJ EQ'S)

Hi everyone. I use an old mixer which doesn't have eq's for each channel and i'm looking to control the eq's in virtual dj. I intend to purchase the Akai LPD8 - USB-MIDI Pad Controller and use the knobs to control the eq's for each channel. has anyone done this and how difficult is it to set it up? Please advise for alternatives besides having to buy a new mixer or a new controller with built in mixer.

my current set up is:

MTX Soundcraftsmen MX500 Mixer
Denon DN-HC4500
Dell Inspiton 710m
Virtual Dj 7.03
etc.........
