hey,
I am currently using virtual dj on a pc, which has all my bpm's and cues saved up. i'm planning on buying a mac soon and it will be a shame if hours and days of work will go to waste. how do I make sure that all the song info's from my pc will import to the mac?
thanks a lot

When you install VDJ it will create a user folder the same as you already have on the PC.
Copy the folder across from your PC and assuming you have no external drives it will have the virtual DJ database file in it.
You may beed to edit the XML database to the new Mac file location for your music though as it is different to Windows.

Then you won't need to convert the database. This should get picked up in the Mac version automatically.
If not it's just a case of editing the database to the newly assigned drive letter.

And This Is What I Did Also. using VDj,and you need all your database from your PC ( cue, tags,BPM etc ) to be on your Macbook Pro.
1.Get a ex hard drive (it up to the size of music you have ).
2.Plug ex HD your Pc computer, then format it to( ExFAT ) not NTFS.
3.Make up a name for your ex HD after you format it.
4.Copy all your music file on to the ex HD the seem way as your music is on your Pc computer.
5.Open VDj on your Pc then go to the settings/browser ck the show desktop then OK.Now look for your ex HD you name and open some crates BUT DO NOT delete the info on you ex HD.
6.Eject the ex HD and plug it in your Mac and open VDj go to setting/browser and ck show volumes then OK and now look for your New ex HD with your music on it and open it up w/VDj.Open some crates and hit add to database then more crates.
7. Copy your ex HD on your Mac and do not delete the Pc info.Reopen VDj now look for you music you copy from your Ex HD to you Mac and add to favorites and your ( cue, tags,BPM etc ) are now on your Macbook Pro.
8.You can now log off VDj and eject the ex HD & go to your music/ex HD name and delete the Pc info and rename it.
